Mike Winicour, Director of Client Relationships, has built a successful sales career using two crucial qualities: entrepreneurial drive and the ability to connect with others.
Mike embarked on his first sales job in 1969. Recently out of the Air Force, he bumped into a friend who needed a skilled, trustworthy manager for his car stereo store. This launched Mike’s career in the electronics industry, in which he built his reputation as a talented sales manager, field manager, and/or buyer for such companies as S&S Automotive, Triangle Stereo, A.M. Distributors, and Western Distributing. Merging sales experience with entrepreneurial spirit, Mike opened Precision Installers—an expediting firm that partnered with car dealers—in 1975. He followed the success of this venture by opening The Sound Tunnel and Chicago Music Center, both retail stores, and building up the businesses before selling them years later.
With a passion for building a rapport with people and learning about new industries, Mike joined Round Table Companies in 2011 as Director of Sales. He is excited about building relationships with comic book stores across the country, learning about their needs and incorporating their feedback into his work. Through networking with these bookstores and various professional organizations, such as the Comic Book Industry Association (CBIA), Mike is increasing exposure for RTC and its clients. His goal is to create new partnerships between RTC and corporations, airlines, fitness groups, insurance companies, wireless companies, and more.
Mike lives in Lincolnwood, IL with his wife Diane of 42 years. They have two children, Jodi and Corey.
