Giving Thanks for Book Writing Journeys and Profound Experiences

November ushers in the beautiful fall foliage, cooler temperatures, foggy mornings (depending on where you reside), and the urge to dig out our coziest sweaters, sweatpants, and blankets. This month also marks the beginning of the holiday season. The past year has certainly differed from 2020 in many ways. Even though it has not been without its challenges, we at RTC have experienced a heightened sense of gratitude.

Our team is thankful for plenty of things. One key motivation behind our abundant gratitude is our clients. So we were curious to know what our clients are grateful for now that they have written a book with us. Here is what they had to say:

I’m most grateful for the magical moments that happened while writing my book with a professional storytelling company. Each was transformative in such a beautiful way because the experience brought my story out in a way that I was both the observer and the participant.

- Kari Warberg Block author of Gathering around the Table: A Story of Purpose-Driven Change through Business

I am grateful that I wrote The ABCs of Conscious Capitalism for KIDs because through the book, I have met so many incredible young people who fill me with hope and optimism for the future. It has turned out to be a mutual gratitude society. I wanted to inspire them, but they have inspired me! And my favorite quote about gratitude comes from Brené Brown: "Practice gratitude to honor what's ordinary about our lives because that is what's truly extraordinary."

- Laura Hall author of The ABC’s of Conscious Capitalism for KIDs: Create a Business, Make Money, Change the World

My second book was a collaboration with my stepson and a good friend of ours. Working on the book brought us together in ways I would have never imagined. I am grateful for their efforts which helped create the book I had always wanted to write as well as our shared camaraderie, where we became like brothers. I am also grateful for the effort the book required. It forced me to bring things out from within me that wanted to get out and to learn how to write. Finally, I am grateful for all the help from the team at RTC in producing the book, whether it was Yolanda setting the course, James serving as our ever-patient editor, or Sunny overseeing book design.

- Jim O’Brien author of Now Will You Excuse Me: Bite-Sized Lessons for the Leader in All of Us and co-author of Chasing Twilight: A Joy Journal for Runners

I am grateful for my story to now be in written form because it's a beautiful fairy tale of hope, heartbreak, and happily-ever-after that makes much of the God who saved me.

- Leanne Rozell author of Praying for that Man: A Love Story from Above

My book has allowed me to share my wisdom and learn from others. For this, I am grateful.

- Brandon Hatton author of Conscious Wealth: Money, Investing, and a Financial Awakening for the Person Who Has It All
